Richard T. Hatch

M.D., FACAAAI, FAAP, AAAAI

Dr. Hatch has been with the Oklahoma Allergy & Asthma Clinic since 1997. Prior to that he was an allergist in Longview, Texas. He also practiced general pediatrics in Nuremburg, Germany for two years. He completed a two-year fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center after three years of post-graduate training in general pediatrics at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. His medical degree was earned at St. Louis University School of Medicine.

Dr. Hatch is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and a member of the American Medical Association. He is also a clinical associate professor at the Department of Pediatrics OUHSC.

Dr. Hatch and his wife Dawnya live in Edmond with their children.

Everyone I dealt with at the clinic was fantastic. Staff members and the doctor were all very pleasant, knowledgeable, and great at explaining things to a patient. I can't say I "loved" the poke tests or reactions, but they were the reason for my visit after all! Dr. Hatch was outstanding in going over my history, symptoms, and test results. Dr. Hatch was patient and courteous when I explained that I simply can't give up my cat, even though I turned up positive for cat allergies, among other things. Dr. Hatch's nurse, Andrea, spent a lot of time with me getting accurate medical and medication history. Dr. Hatch was amazingly helpful and gave me a diagnosis of mild asthma, which after all my years of care with other allergy doctors, was entirely different from what they thought the problem was. My taking 4 puffs of albuterol and being able to blow into the breathing tube in the normal range was a revelation. No other doctor had ever tried that. He was thorough and took a lot of time with me and was very personable as well. I'm so glad I found this clinic after living in New York for 38 years.
