Elisa Thompson received her first bachelor’s degree from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, with a concentration in biology and psychology. She then went on to earn her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing. Elisa completed her master’s degree in nursing and attained her Family Nurse Practitioner certification from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She has particular interest in treating food allergy and difficult to treat asthma and is passionate about empowering patients to understand their disease processes in order support their own health journey. She believes in a team approach to care between patient and provider and loves to teach.

The woman that does my daughter's skin test is awesome. She did them in the spring and I was happy to see she was our nurse/tester today. She's so good with my rambunctious toddler. Our Nurse Practitioner was awesome too. She was patient and so kind and very easy to talk to. What I thought would be a stressful visit was just fine. I really appreciate all the staff we came in contact with today, including the front desk. I overheard a new front desk staff being trained and the woman training her was very thorough, and I as I parent appreciated the information she shared with her.
